According to BelTA the media outlets with the foreign share of 20% or more, which were registered before the new law on mass media came into force, will continue working, Belarus Information Minister Liliya Ananich said during an online conference to discuss the new law on mass media hosted by BelTA website.
"These media outlets will continue working since the amendments to the law do not apply to the legal relations that emerged prior to the new law," the minister said.
As of 1 January 2014 Belarus' public media registry included 59 print media, 2 radio programs and 3 television programs with the foreign share in the statutory fund of the outlet of 20% and more.
