The Ministry of Communications has approved a contract with the Minsk-based Channel 8, allocating a new frequency for this private network, company executive director Piotr Charnamorac told reporters.
Channel 8 will go to air on the 11th channel starting in July. Channel 8 broadcasts were suspended in early January, when the communication authorities unilaterally breached the contract, handing over the frequency to the new television company - Stalichanya Telebachanne (STV), which has transmitted up to 90 per cent of the Russian Ren-TV programming.
