Government enables e-learning

The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio electronics (BSUIR) is one of the country's first institutions to receive a licence for distant teaching from the Belarusian Ministry of Education.

A year of distant learning at the University will cost approximately $377. Five year courses will be offered on:

  • Programming and information technologies
  • Information technologies and systems in economics
  • Electronic computers
  • Information technologies and management for technical systems
It is planned that during their first year 70 students will study 13 subjects. Graduates will work as electronic engineers, programmers, information technologies engineers, and engineer-programmers.

The University will use distance learning technology from the Russian company Prometheus, for the offered courses.
