Fifth annual internet forum in Belarus

'BY 2003', Belarus' fifth annual internet forum, took place in Minsk last week, where, in order to promote co-operation of private and public sectors in the ICT sphere, a new initiative was launched that will organise a round-table discussion of ICT-related issues for internet providers, representatives of computer companies, and governmental officials and members of parliament.
Other key issues discussed at the Forum included ISP activities, internet penetration in the country and Belarusian content.
200 representatives of various bodies and organizations and private individuals participated in the forum, with members of parliament taking part for the first time.
