According to Belarusian telco and internet service provider Beltelecom, 106,000 'non-password user', or those who have not registered with the ISP, are accessing Beltelecom internet service every month. Half of these non-password users reside in Minsk.
In 2001, the average number of monthly bills for password-less internet access totaled 66,377. The company predicts that by the end of this year that number will grow to between 150,000 and 200,000.
Last year, 796,530 people accessed Beltelecom's connection without registering. In January, 2002, only 53,729 subscribers registered, while in January, 2003 this number had grown up to 87,578.
