The third Belarusian GSM operator was registered on November 9.
Alexander Soloninko, State Military-Industrial Committee (SMIC) Vice Chairman, informed Belta news agency that the founders of the new state-owned operator Belarusian Telecommunications Network (trademark BeST) are Agat, a state-owned company, and Beltelecom, state owned national telco with the shares of 75% and 25% correspondingly.
It is expected that BeST will start functioning in the year of 2005.
