By 2010, terrestrial digital broadcasting (DVB) will be available in all regional centers of Belarus, and by 2015 digital TV broadcasting network will cover all the territory of the country.
These are objectives of the State Programme for Digital TV and Radio broadcasting adopted by Belarusian government on February 16, 2006. At present, digital broadcasting is available only in Minsk.
Belarusian TV broadcasting network consists of 24 powerful multichannel TV stations, 1 powerful one channel TV station and 21 relays. First National TV Channel (Belarusian Television) is available for 99,49 per cent of population.
