Beltelecom is planning to increase the number of its xDSL ports

Beltelecom is planning to double the number of its xDSL ports up to 80 thousand by the end of 2007.
At present Beltelecom has 40 thousand xDSL ports.
National telecommunications operator Beltelecom began to develop its broadband internet access in 2003. Private internet providers began commercial exploitation of ADSL technology earlier, before 2003. However Beltelecom imposed a set of measures to limit private ISPs activities in the sphere. Beltelecom broadband internet access service has been marketed under Byfly trademark since 2006.
