TUT.BY premoderates forums

TUT.BY, the largest Belarusian internet portal, has tightened control over forum posters.
Yuri Zisser, the owner of the portal, explained in his interview to Belarusian news agency BelaPAN that users' posts gwill be moderated before being published. Y.Zisser stressed that this mode will only be introduced for news discussions, and will not be used at the portal's other forums.
Y.Zisser said that premoderation was a necessary measure, as it was impossible to tolerate existing cussing and rudeness with moderators being unable to do their job properly . "We have switched to pre-moderatiion, and have no regrets. There has not been any decrease in comment rate, and there is no more cussing, flame or flood" - Zisser mentioned.
There are around 160 000 unique users registered on TUT.BY.
TUT.BY was created on the 5th of January, 2000. Since then TUT.BY's visitors created over 100 000 forums. Over 1 000 new users are registered at the portal every day, and over 1.5 000 000 mail messages are being sent and recieved.
