Belstat publishes the number of Internet connections in Belarus

National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus published data concerning the numbers of users and subscribers of data transfer network.

In 2008 these numbers decreased by 422,2 thousands compared with 2007, including data transfer users that don't have Internet access.

At the same time, the amount of subscribers and users with Internet access increased by 305,6 thousands.

All communications operators' data was included in the research. Dial-up, broadband and mobile Internet access users were counted.
