100 000 internet subscribers in Grodno region

According to Viktor Matveev, director of Beltelecom Grodno branch, every fourth person in Grodno region uses the Internet.
Beltelecom has more than 100 thousand Internet subscribers in Grodno region.
By now, 37 thousand subribers use broadband access. 16 thousand get connected from the beginning of 2009 year, and 2,3 thousand - in August.
Beltelecom assumes that one subscription means 2-3 real users. Therefore, according to company's calculations there are 250-300 thousand Internet users in the Grodno region , or every fourth person.
There are 30 wi-fi access points in Grodno region, and six more will be put into opertaion later this year. 24 Wi-Fi access point will function in Grodno and 12 - in the district centers.
