All legal entities sites placed in .by domain will be obliged to move to Belarusian hosting

Yesterday Ministry of Communications and Informatisation gave more detailsconcerning the Decree of the Council of Ministers #644 from April 29, 2010 "On some questions of improving usage of the national segment of global Internet computer network".

Firstly, Pavel Petrulevich, Ministry of Communications and Informatisation chief specialist announced that corporate resources (resources of legal entities) in .by domain will be obliged to move to Belarusian hosting.

This regulation is not applied to the physical persons web resources of. However, a physical person's site that is hosted on a national hosting provider, including Internet resources providing free hosting, is eligible for compulsory registration that must be carried out by Internet services provider.

It also became known yesterday that legal responsibility for providing wrong information for registration of Internet resources will be introduced in Belarus. This was announced by Sergei Rudnev, head of Ministry of communications and informatisation infrastructure management informational technologies and informatisation developement sector. Legislation act that will provide legal responsibility for unauthenticity of information is already being developed.

According to the resolution of the Council of Ministers #644 from April 29 2010 "On some questions of improving usage of the national segment of global Internet computer network", information on registered Internet resources from the registering organisation should be passed to president of Belarus' Operative-Analytical Center.
