MTS Belarus reports 1.7m 3G subscribers at end-2014

According to TeleGeography Belarus’ largest mobile operator by subscribers, MTS Belarus, has announced its operating results for 2014, reporting a total of 5.3 million customers, including 1.7 million on 3G subscription plans.
Rising numbers of data users has resulted, not surprisingly, in increased average monthly traffic volumes, which climbed from 1.106GB per user in 2013 to 1.324GB last year. However, average voice traffic usage dipped marginally in the twelve months to 31 December 2014, down 0.9% to 468 minutes per month, and average cost (per subscriber) rose by 4.06% to BYR63,191 (USD4.21) per month, according to 42.TUT.BY.
