Belarussian and Russian specialists unveiled their supercomputer SCIF at the Minsk Perspective Technologies and Systems 2001 Exhibition.
The prototype has 32 processors, 16 computational nodes, 8 Gbytes of RAM, and peaks its performance at 20 million operations per second.
SCIF is intended for weather forecasting, designing semi-conductive devices and for coordinating traffic.
