Siemens has won the equipment tender for Belarus's second GSM-standard mobile network.
According to the terms of the tender, Siemens is to supply GSM 900/1800 infrastructure equipment for the second mobile network in Belarus. Siemens will install six switchboards for 35,000 phone numbers, for about 170 base station intellectual networks.
The first stage is to be accomplished by April. By the end of the year the network is to cover all the major cities in the Republic of Belarus
