This year, outer channels in Belarus are to be extended to 80 Mbps - double the current capacity.
At present, channel capacity is set at 40Mbps. Of outer traffic, 40 per cent belongs to the Russian internet segment and the move by Beltelecom is directed at the Russian traffic exchange.
While choosing outer channels, special attention is to be paid to the possibilities of additional internet services. One of the priorities is organising of virtual international channels for corporate purposes (VPNs).
