Government enables e-learning

The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio electronics (BSUIR) is one of the country's first institutions to receive a licence for distant teaching from the Belarusian Ministry of Education.
A year of distant learning at the University will cost approximately $377. Five year courses will be offered on:
- Programming and information technologies
- Information technologies and systems in economics
- Electronic computers
- Information technologies and management for technical systems
The University will use distance learning technology from the Russian company Prometheus, for the offered courses.
