Beltelecom, the Belarussian telco which holds a monopoly for outer internet channel in the country, last week signed an agreement with US based telco Sprint for rendering the 34Mbit internet channel.
By the end of the year, two methods of internet access will be available in Belarus: through Russian telco Metrocom (45 Mbit) and through Sprint (34 Mbit).
As a result of these developments, prices for providers have been reduced by 15 to 20 per cent (to $967 for 64 kbit).
