MTS, the Russian mobile service provider, is extending its network to regional centres in Belarus.
After six months of operating in Belarus, MTS mobile network had covered only Minsk and surrounding territory.
Brest will be the first area covered with eleven of MTS' stations covering the city territory and frontier points between Belarus and Poland.
MTS has 30,000 subscribers in Belarus.
