Digital communication systems for Belarusian military forces

According to a new communications modernisation plan adopted by the Ministry of Defence, digital communication systems are to be introduced to the Belarusian army by 2010.
By the end of 2003, the government plans to have introduced digital communications systems in its land forces and operational headquarters.
Equipment for the military digital telecommunication systems will be produced at the Belarusian manufacturing plants 'Les', in Orsha, 'Sputnik' in Soligorsk, and 'Agat', in Minsk.
