Alcatel to invest E1m in Belarus

Alcatel SEL AG, Alcatel MCEMF (the joint venture between Alcatel Sel and MCEMF (Minsk Computer Engineering Manufacturing Firm)), the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Industry and Beltelecom, signed a joint agreement on 24 June regarding the production and installation of telecommunications equipment.
Alcatel SEL AG is to invest E1m into production of modern telecommunications equipment in Belarus.
Alcatel MCEMF, the partnership between Alcatel Sel and MCEMF, is known for producing automatic telephone exchanges and was founded in 1998. MCEMF shares 49 per cent of the capital of the joint venture and Alcatel 51 per cent.
