One of Lithuania's biggest IT companies Sonex group has registered its subsidiary Sonex at the Minsk free economic zone in Belarus, Sonex group chief Arunas Bartusevicius told the Baltic News Service.
"This year we've become stronger in the Baltic states and began Sonex group planned entry to eastern markets - to Belarus, to Russia and to the Ukraine," he said, having added that during the next year the Belarus company is planning to sell over 200,000 computers and Sonex hopes to take a significant market share.
Sonex will produce computers and servers for the Belarusian and Russian markets and will provide information services.
Sonex group is planning to increase annual sales by almost 40% in 2003 (200 million litas) and hopes to become the leader on the Baltic IT market.
The group has founded the subsidiaries Sonex Computers in Estonia and Sonex Riga in Latvia.
