"Your New Start" is a new VELCOM initiative. Students of 25 higher educational institutions in Minsk, Mogilev, Grodno, Gomel, Brest, Vitebsk and Bobryisk have received letters of congratulation with the wishes of success and mobility in the new academic year.
While in August, 44 thousand people subscribed for MTS services.
MTS 's subscribers number has increased to 250 thousand during the summer of 2003. According to expert assessments 65% of total number of new mobile phone users subscribe for MTS services and MTS now shares 30% of mobile communications market. This success is due to MTS network rapid expansion and to developed dealer network in the country.
