According to Belarusian information agency BELTA, President Lukashenko, after the meeting with Minister of communications Mr. V.Goncharenko, announced plans to open the bidding for the license of the third GSM operator in the first half of 2004.
Moreover, Belarusian President approved plans to build a new television tower in Minsk. The new tower of 410-420m height will be the second highest in Europe after Ostankinskaya TV tower in Moscow.
At the same time President Lukashenko has criticized the present quality of TV transmission in the country.
