Cosmos TV is planning to expand its cable network and provide cable TV services for 40 000 more households in Minsk.
According to Cosmos TV public relations manager Alexander Karnauch, the number of Cosmos TV cable subscribes has been increased by 5,3% since the beginning of the running year and totals now 46 000 individual subscribers. As of March 1, 2005 Cosmos TV has 11,9 thousand MMDS subscribers which is 2,6% than in January 2005..
The number of users having Internet broadband access through Cosmos TV network totals now 2,7 thousand, which is 8% more than in January. Cosmos TV predicts that by the end of the year this number will double.
Cosmos TV company was founded in 1993. In 2001, the company launched cable TV network in Minsk. At present Cosmos TV is transmitting 39 TV channels and is providing broadband Internet access. Cosmos TV network covers 150 000 households.
