State-owned company Belpochta (Belarusian post) is planning to put into operation 40 public Internet access points by the end of 2005. These access points will be installed in Belpochta local offices.
According to Belpochta deputy general director Alexander Leonov, there are 80 PIAPs in Belarus now. The majority of the PIAPs are installed in village Belpochta offices.
Alexander Leonov says the non- password dial up access fee is 0.51EUR/hour on week days and 0.21EUR/hour on holidays.
Belpochta is also planning to put into operation 50 mobile operators' dealer centers in its offices. At present Belpochta has 90 dealer centers all over the country.
