Only 25% of Belarusian school have internet access and 58% of the total number of schools have computer equipment.
This information was announced at the Council of Ministers Presidium of the Republic of Belarus meeting which took place on June, 14.
The participants of the meeting emphasized that within the framework of education reform two laws (on vocational training and on handicapped children education) were adopted, two draft laws (on preschool education and on secondary education) were developed and more that 200 regulations were put in force. But nothing has been done in order to establish and introduce national standards for computer equipment provision for schools.
