It has recently been announced the Siemens will supply GPRS equipment (including SGSN, GGSN gateways and IP Manager system) for MTS (Belarus) network.
In addition Siemens Communications will carry out MTS network infrastructure modernization and technical maintenance. That will enable MTS to provide its 1,7 mln subscribers with broadband Intrenet access.
This agreement is a part of a major Siemens -MTS contract for MTS networks extension in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
Siemens and MTS (Belarus) have been cooperating for more than three years. MTS (Belarus) network infrastructure is based on Siemens equipment.
