Ericsson strengthens its position on Belarusian fixed telephony market

Ericsson and Beltelecom have signed a contract for equipment supply to modernize Beltelecom fixed telephony market earlier this month.
Since January 2005, Ericsson has supplied equipment for more than USD 3m . As by now, more than 430 000 AXE-10 lines has been sold by Ericsson to Belarus
Within the framework of the new contract Ericsson is to supply AXE switchboard for Gomel city telephone network. It is planned that the system will be put into operation by December 1, 2005.
According to Ericsson marketing research department information, Ericsson equipment supplies to Belarus in January-August 2005 has doubled as compared to 12 months of 2004.
