Archives of Belarus website: more than 2,5 mln visitors in 2007

According to the head of Ministry of Justice Archives Department Vladimir Adamushko , more than 2,5 mln people from 28 countries visited web site "Archives of Belarus" in 2007.
At present, Belarusian state archives preserve 12 mln paper files, 34 thousand films, 236 thousand photos and many other sources of information.
Vladimir Adamushko says that archive institutions now have equipment (i.e. scanners, DVD recorders ) which makes it possible to produce digital copies of various documentshttp://archives.gov.by/
