Belarusian mobile operator life:) has began commercial exploitation of it's 3G network.
High-speed internet connection (up to 7,2 Mbit/s) and videocalls in 3G network are availiable to subscribers.
"3G life:) isn't just a third generation communications system. It's an improved version of 3.5G. It's a model of 2010th year network that provides not only for high speed download, but also for upload of the information. This statement means that our users can expect lots of interesting services: videochat, mobile TV, web-cameras, wireless Internet access devices. Even now we are ready to give out 100 000 free USB modems to our clients. Mobile life:) operator was the first to implement UMTS 3G technology in Belarus", - Ozcan Ermis stressed.
Today 3G tech is availiable to residents of Minsk and other major cities. The operator plans to create 500 3G base stations which will provide 3G coverage in all cities with population over 50 thousand people. 70% of Belarus' population are expected to have access to 3G life services at the end of 2009.
Today life:) has over 600 thousands users.
