Beltelecom intends to increase Byfly subscriber base to 1 million

Subscriber base of broadband Internet access provider Byfly will increase more than twofold totalling no less than 1 million users in 2010.
Byfly's subscriber base was estimated to have over 400.000 subscribers at the end of 2009. Today, over 480 Byfly wi-fi spots are active in Belarus, including 220 spots in regions of the country.
In 2009 Beltelecom expanded the external Internet gateway from 5,2 to 22Gbit/second, of which Russian gateway to Rostelecom and Transtelecom accounts for 20 Gbit/second, and 2 Gbit/second in the western direction with TATA Communications company.
