Belarus receives financial support from ITU regional initiatives fund

An agreement has been signed by the Ministry of Communications of Belarus and International Telecommunications Union.
According to the agreement, Belarus will recieve a70.000 swiss franks (approximately 65.800$ financial aid) to provide broadband internet access fpr rural regions. The information has been recently announced by the first deputy minister of communications and informatisation Ivan Rak.
"The main goal of the project is to provide people with a broad range of on-line social services, - Ivan Rak noted. - It will provide not only easy access to information resources, but also experience in the sphere of information and communication technologies ".
