As deputy chairman of National Statistics Committee Elena Kuharevich said, in 2009 there were 40 computers per 100 homes in Belarus.
For comparison, there were 32 computers per 100 homes in 2008. The growth was most substantial in homes with children under 18 - from 52 in 2008 to 63 in 2009, Kuharevich noted.
Last year every fourth household had a PC Internet access .
