An Internet cafe for seniors is to be opened in Baranovichi. Theannoncement was made by Alexander Pirogov, a coordinator of the joint Belarusian-Swedish local government development project in Belarus.
Seniors are to be helped with accessing information needed in the Internet cafe. The project is to be realised with a financial support from Swedish association of local and regional self-governing bodies (SALAR).
"This house will be economical and ergonomical, due to innovative technologies. There's also an idea to open a milk bar in the building, where parents with children could spent their time. Thus we will not only build and office for a local self-government, but also realize social ideas".
Swedish association of local and regional self-government bodies (SALAR) is planning to realize a project to create 4 informational centers in Vitebsk region. This was announced by Alexander Pirogov, a coordinator of the joint Belarusian-Swedish local self-government development project in Belarus.
Information centers are to be created in such communities as Disna and Perebrodie (Miorsk region), as well as Bocheikovo (Beshenkovichi region). Thus rural population will be able to use United National Services portal.
"Our goal to make power availiable to people, so their problems are solved quickly and easily. E-government concept allows to do just that", - Alexander Pirogov explained.
By the end of 2011, representatives of the Swedish association plan to prepare a concept of Vitebsk region development project, aimed at creation of 4 information centers .
