Beltelecom has more than 2 thousand subscribers for GPON technology

Ministry of communications published a report on 7 innovative projects implemented in 2011 within the framework of the state program for 2011-2015.
At present, state telco "Beltelecom" is putting into operation connection to IMS platform for its clients. As of 1 January 2012, the service was available for 90 000 subscribers. GPON network has been constructed by all Beltelecom regional branches (with the exception of the Gomel), and avaiable for about 2 thousand subscribers.
Beltelecom put into operation 3522,4 km of fiber-optical lines.
Beltelecom mounted 5 platforms for IPTV in Mogilev, Vitebsk, Brest, Grodno, Gomel. In the third quarter of 2011 an information portal, as well as the service of access to payment systems were put into operation for the subscribers of "ZALA" service.
Beltelecom fixed broadband internet access increased by 566,6 thousands of ports by the end of 2011, and totals now more than 1.7 million.
