According to BelTA Belarus' Interior Ministry is tracking terror threats, including on the Internet, in the wake of the Paris attacks, Belarus' Interior Minsitry Igor Shunevich told reporter.
The Internet is monitored by Department K and other services that have relevant divisions. "They track potential and actual threats to our security, first of all, on the Internet," said Igor Shunevich.
Not all police units are on high alert. "Certainly, we test the vigilance of our staff by using other services that are authorized to do this," he said. "We realistically assess the possibility of terror attacks on our territory. We always take adequate measures to avoid unnecessary nervousness and involve unnecessary additional forces on the one hand, and to keep extremist and terror risks at a minimum on the other,” the minister stressed.
