Services sold in electronic form may soon be taxed in Belarus

According to TVR from next year mobile apps, music, books, movies, games and other services, which are sold in electronic form may be taxed.
As stated the representatives of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties, in the first place new rules will affect foreign companies that provide services in the territory of our country, but did not exclude the possibility of levying tax on people who buy services in Belarus. Currently it comes with the standard VAT rate of twenty percent.
In the near future, all proposals will be forwarded to the Ministry of Finance for further discussion with all concerned authorities.
